Ellen Miller Gilcrest
All about Susan McPherson.
Ellen Miller Gilcrest is the director of creative strategy at McPherson Strategies, where she devises memorable messages, events, content, partnerships and campaigns for clients in the social impact space. She has a decade of experience working with social entrepreneurs, technology startups, nonprofits, corporations and foundations to crystalize brand positioning, increase visibility and creatively galvanize action.
Prior to joining McPherson Strategies, Ellen led the social media team at Metis Communications, a marketing and PR firm that works with emerging business-to-business technology companies. There, she worked with clients including Crimson Hexagon and Basecamp to grow, engage and delight audiences across social channels. Before that, Ellen was the marketing and new business manager at Fenton, a leading social change communications agency, where she helped triple the new business win rate and promoted the agency through online and offline channels. Ellen also spent several years organizing action campaigns for social-issue documentary films, including HBO’s Gasland and PBS’ American Promise.
Ellen is an alumna of Barnard College and Boston’s Startup Institute. Hobbies include party planning, finding travel deals and weekend adventures with her husband and dog.
