Goals: When abortion bans began sweeping the country, McPherson Strategies orchestrated a response from the corporate community alongside a coalition of reproductive healthcare organizations, including client NARAL Pro-Choice America, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.

Results:

  • 187 CEOs and business leaders from companies including Square, H&M, Yelp, Bloomberg, Glossier, Warby Parker, Zoom, M∙A∙C Cosmetics, Postmates, Slack, Ben & Jerry’s and The Body Shop signed a letter that ran as a full-page ad in the New York Times, sending a clear message: you can’t have equality in the workplace if people don’t have access to reproductive health care

  • An additional 150 CEOs signed onto the letter the following week, increasing the number of signatory companies to 330+ and representing a combined 129,000 employees

  • Don’t Ban Equality trended nationally on Twitter

  • Our team led the strategy and messaging for the campaign, conducted outreach, and garnered widespread media coverage, including CNN, CNBC/NBC, ABC, CBS, Univision, USA Today, the Financial Times, Fortune, FastCo and Refinery29, generating an estimated 5 billion impressions
